Bioform shade teeth can be placed instead of an acrylic pad for those patients who prefer a more natural look. This pontic is designed so that it is clear of the tissue and the patient can easily floss underneath it using a floss threader. Upon delivery, it will be necessary to adjust the occlusal surface of the pontic. Again, it is always important to check for a parallel path of insertion between the two abutment teeth. Note - Adding occlusal rests to this design will prevent gingival displacement of this appliance. Bonding these rests in place will allow the patient to maintain this appliance for a longer period of time.
