When a significant amount of lateral development is needed, even a standard RPE screw is sometimes not enough. When this happens, a second appliance frequently needs to be placed. Using a Super-Screw will allow you to avoid having to place a second appliance. Available in two sizes, this screw offers between 12mm and 18mm of lateral arch width development. The Super-Screw is easy to adjust from the front of the mouth with a small hex wrench. It has a clearly visible graduated scale milled into the body of the screw, making it very easy to monitor the amount of lateral development achieved, and it is quite comfortable due to its smooth rounded shape.
