QCB™ Final Retention System

The QCB™ Final Retention System includes the items you need to treat a single patient with QCB™ Quick Cosmetic Braces. The cuspid-to-cuspid retention splint (available in upper and lower) consists of a multi-stranded, lingual wire -- carefully contoured to the lingual of the six anterior teeth and bonded to each tooth. Its key advantage lies in the use of a laboratory-fabricated transfer tray that makes correct placement of the wire easy -- and requires a minimum of chair time. The process: Etch; rinse and dry; place bonding agent; place cement on each pad; place tray and cure; carefully remove tray. After cuspid-to-cuspid bonding is achieved, a clear Essix-type retainer (when requested) fits over the entire arch and lingual wire to ensure full arch stability. Note: When requesting QCB™ Lingual Technique Indirect Bonding Trays for the maxillary anteriors, it is important to send an opposing model and a wax bite. Sufficient overbite and overjet is essential to avoid interference.
