Gingival Grafting Stent

6510

A frequent periodontal procedure is to do a gingival graft by harvesting palatal tissue and transplanting it in areas that lack attached or keratinized tissue. This procedure creates an open wound that heals by secondary intention, and can be quite uncomfortable for the patient. A properly designed surgical stent can protect the open wound and make the procedure much more tolerable for the patient. When it is used in conjunction with a dressing it also helps control bleeding. These stents can be designed to meet your exacting specifications.
