This Fixed Distalizing Sagittal is commonly used when bodily movement is necessary and patient compliance may be a concern.  It utilizes a lingual acrylic Nance Button for additional anchorage and comfort. 

Once the molars are sufficiently distalized the appliance is typically replaced by a fixed lingual arch to maintain molar position during subsequent full arch fixed mechanics.
